Re: awful day for tennis with all these withdrawals
Bilbo do you know what it is to be a professional tennis player with chronic injuries/physical problems? These injuries may not be apparent at all when watching a match on video. Many players have pain almost every day because of some chronic injury or physical problem but play through it. Tennis is a hard sport on the body. I think sometimes players do withdraw before a tournament for slightly doubtful reasons, but when a player gives a walk-over at the QF stage like Kohlschreiber and Tsonga did today there's no reason at all to doubt their motivations. Both are injury-prone players.
