Brisbane: Gasquet df Tsonga 1-6 6-4 6-2

Hell YES! What a great display from Richard. His FH was better than ever and so was his returning. This Gasquet is the real deal. Jo was in crazy mode in the set but Richard stayed in there. Jo's level tapered off as Richard's increased. Great match.

Haven't watched but it looks like Gasquet showed the toughness once for a change.

Re: Brisbane: Gasquet df Tsonga 1-6 6-4 6-2

Gasquet was lucky that Tsonga literrally gifted him the last 2 sets, especially the last one(spreading shocking UEs after shocking UEs).
Had he played as seriously as in the first set,Gasquet would have been toast.

Re: Brisbane: Gasquet df Tsonga 1-6 6-4 6-2

Gasquet played well and wisely directed a high percentage of his shots to Tsonga's backhand. Tsonga broke down at the end and there was no doubt who would win it. I think 5 set matches in the AO will suit Tsonga better because of his game falls he will have more time to regain it.

Looks like Jo was in a hurry to be somewhere else in the last half an hour. Managed to hit everyting else apart from the court.

Looks like you are still singing same tune....

Richard served horrible in first set and that was the main reason he lost it. Tsonga was going all out on every second ball and was making it, but that is SO low percentage stuff and it caught up with him in the end. Richard played composed tennis and served beautifully in second and third set and was simply the better player tonight.
