I have also been blogging from the Australian Open - I will be there for the first six days. Except this time, instead of it being on my own blog, it has been posted on Tennis Week. I've finished writing Tuesday's blog so it should be up sometime today I guess.
Thanks very much for your report. It was great for me to read about how Ferrero performed especially. I hope you had fun
JUAN CARLOS FERRERO
Juan Monaco, Tommy Robredo, Fernando Gonzalez, Juan Martin Del Potro, David Ferrer, Guillermo Garcia Lopez, Juan Ignatio Chela, Fernando Verdasco, Carlos Moya, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Lucas Arnold Ker, Nicolas Lapentti
Yeah it has been a really good turn-out. I normally wouldn't expect that much of a crowd on the first few days, but there has been a lot. I heard on the first Sunday, there were around 8,000 spectators which is very much considering that the stadium holds around 5,000 I think and that there weren't that many first round matches at all that day, mainly qualifying. But it must be said that tickets were cheaper that day for that reason. Obviously on working days, that figure would be somewhat less, but it was still good.
Anyway, my second post doesn't make much sense either due to the deletion.
And I am kind of sad to see Klein indeed proved to be a wrong choice of WC (OK, you didn't put it down in so many words, but he clearly did not live up to the WC; Sirianni seemed to do a lot better, and while having qualified).
