Anyway, what's quite astonishing and what's a pity for France (I say a pity because many say that French tennis is bad because we never had any top-top player in the open-era : Noah was 3rd in the world only one week !) is that as for Noah and Leconte in the 80s,
we have shared the main tennis qualities between several players.
Noah had the physical, tactical and mental qualities.
Leconte had the technique.
Now we have shared everything in 4 :
- Tsonga has the mental and physical explosivity, but not physical solidity
- Simon has the mental, the tactics, some physical endurance, but his technique is quite poor and his physics is not strong and explosive
- Monfils has a great physics, a good technique, but his tactical abilities are poor, and his mental is a little bit complex
- Gasquet has a very good technique, but lacks physical, tactical and mental abilities
A mixt of Noah and Leconte would have been number 1.
A mixt of these 4 players would be quite near from number 1.
But in France, we are a nearly communist country, you know :
we share everything
