A breeding ground?

I know this is mtf and not a lot of people are probably interested but I have just realised that there are a lot of junior/up and coming tennis players coming out of the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia espically on the womens side.

Sam Stosur, Bernard Tomic, Monika Wejnert, Sophie Letcher, Jade Hopper, just to name a few. I was just wondering why there are so many, I live on the Gold Coast and the tennis here isn't that competitive, and we no longer have the WTA tour event so whats the deal.
