Which fallen player of 2008 has the best chance for a comeback in 2009?

I say Andy although Richard might feel a bit freer now that Tsonga and Simon are the chosen ones of France.

Re: Which fallen player of 2008 has the best chance for a comeback in 2009?

Are you referring to Roddick?
I fail to see how you can describe Roddick as a player that "fell" in 2008.
He had a decent year in accordance with his abilities and potential these days.
It's not like his previous four seasons were significantly better.

Rankings-wise... yes, Roddick fell. He made the quarterfinals of the USO, 3rd round at the AO, 2nd round at Wimbledon and didn't play RG.

Actually I think of "fallen" as someone who is way down in the rankings. Roddick was still top ten so don't think of him as fallen. An example for me would be Canas who after his suspension came back gangbusters. Or Agassi.

So I would love to see Gaudio come back although I don't hold out much hope. Too hard to speculate in tennis.

Roddick is still top 8, I wouldn't call that a "comeback".
(And Simon is certainly not France's "chosen one", this is BS.)

Baghdatis, obviously (#100).
Grosjean (#172) if he manages to get rid of his shoulder problem, he's in rehab atm.

What happened exactly to Chela, btw, why is he ranked so low now?

Baghdatis can give more than his current rank indicates, this is for sure.

Federer, and when I say Federer I mean that I would like to see a 2006´s Federer next year, not because Federer had really fallen.

Safin, I really would love to see a Safin playing great.

Coria and Gaudio and Chela and Cañas

Shoulder injury. I don´t know when he will come back, I just know that he had married a couple of days ago, and he is making his tv show...I don´t follow his career so much
