2009 = Year of the X

Who is with me in this? I believe 2009 will be the year that everyone gets shocked. Nothing will happen according to anyone's plans. Don't be surprised if every GS title is a total shock winner. Somes thing will remain the same. Top 4 will be Fed, Nadal, Djoker, Murray in any order. But outside of that, anything will happen.

Re: 2009 = Year of the X

You really think none of the year-end top 4 will win a Grand Slam? Has that ever happened?

I am a fan of Federer, Gasquet, Baghdatis, the long-deceased Safin, Youzhny, Nalbandian, Rochus, Tsonga, the sadly-departed Santoro, and good, hearty, competitive tennis matches. The quality of my life does not rest solely on who wins these matches. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I can live quite happily after a player I like chokes, mugs, bashes, or otherwise succumbs to a loss.

You base this on what exactly?

Marat on Dinara - I think if she does the complete opposite of what I'm doing, she'll be #1 in the world for a long time.

My only wild prediction is that Gulbis will win the French Open. Other than that, the rest of the Slams belong to the top 3.

I suppose could deal with a shock winner for every GS if Roger gets France, Murray gets Wimby, Rafa gets the USO and Djoko gets AO (defendin a title for the very first time).

Haha I love how you still refer to Murray as Mugray.

I thought the thread was about Xristos finally making his big break-through. About time - he's gotta be like 36 years old by now...

Are you on adulterated crack or was that a failed attempt at sarcasm?

Training hard for the ACC I guess. Gave him a boost of endorphine.
