Who was the most surprising player of this season,in a good or in a bad way?

I'd say Simple Simon.
Very few could have believed he would have such a season considering the clear absence of weapons in his game.
With Tsonga or Del Potro, you could at least see they had a few weapons in their games.

For me it was Simon. I didn't expect him at the TMC. Didn't expect anything from him at all.

Federer was a surprise in that his first title was Estoril.

simon at least have 2 very good clay court seasons and for me was not so suprise..more suprise was that he had very good results on clay and not at hardcourt...
For me first was Tsonga and second Murray .. I didnt have repect on Murray game play , but this year he improved very much his shoots...

Murray, I expected that all his fans were buying the British media hype and inevitable fail as all British tennis players do.

Simon and Murray, for sure. Federer salvaged his year for me by winning the U.S. Open, although next year will be very telling.

Simon and Federer. Federer did well to win the US open so that saved him a bit but still a bad year for the Swiss. As for Simon what a fighter he is, he has done very well.
