USO R2: [9] Blake def. Darcis 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 RET

Blake didn't play particularly well. Missed too many ridiculously easy volleys. Darcis was the complete opposite at times, but McEnroe mentioned that Darcis didn't look too well and wasn't acting too positively even though he was up a set during the 2nd set.

McEnroe's theory panned out and Darcis threw in the towel.

Yeah, McEnroe is canny, he knew Darcis would retire.

What happened to Darcis?
Too many retirements in this tournament so far me thinks.

Congrats Blake.

Shame for Darcis. He probably wins that match if healthy considering Blake looked like he would rather be anywhere else but a tennis court.

Steve is injured. It's no secret. It was known before the match. No doubt Blake knew it too. Probably why he played such a lousy first set, it's though to focus when you know your opponent is injured.

Blake vs. Fish should be interesting American match like the first round, but in the end, he'll play at Labor Day again

Keep it up James
As long as he is in half decent form Fish should be a breeze.

Tim Henman--Gael Monfils--James Blake--Donald Young--Rafael Nadal--Jo-Wilfried Tsonga--John Isner--Janko Tipsarevic--Richard Gasquet.

James, please.
This is the US open, you're supposed to be playing pretty decent.
If we can't even have that there.

Get well, Steve.
