Cool Yay!!New ATP logo for 2009, see post #49

Look at the folowing pictures carefully:

Sampras has long retired from the game but why is his service motion still being used to epitomise tennis? Maybe in the 90's it was okay to have Sampras represent tennis but that was a long time ago and the game has long evolved. I think that the ATP Tennis company should come up with a symbol that isn't outdated. Thoughts?

Well, Boring Pete's still-standing GOAT status might have something to do with it, together with the fact that his serve was in fact one of the best EVER, if not perfect... I think it's okay to keep it.

Yep, Sampras was ok for the 90's, they need to update the logo though and put either Nole or Rafa's service motion

Now, they should change it into Nadal's heavy forehand topspin.

Something like this ->

Re: The ATP symbol

Way to make the choice more neutral Simple NO wouldn't do? I like the current one and certainly hope they won't be changing it every few years to make it more like some current player.

You have to give credit to that backhand though they are the two best strokes in tennis ever, maybe the atp should put them both in.
