Cincy QF: [8] Murray def. Moya 2-6, 6-3, 6-1

Murray was very droopy and listless in the first set. He turned it around after saving break points early in the 2nd set.

Really poor first set and a bit from Andy. Thought he was injured after they mentioned he had treatement on the arm before the match. Moya was on fire, though. Once Andy raised his level, Moya's dropped. Great last set and a half from Andy, though. He has a good winning mentality. Most other players would have lot today.

Can't say enough about Moya's performance at the start.

Brilliant comeback from Muzza, looked down and out at 2-6 *0-2 15-40. Bad body language and seemed to suggest his knee was bothering him.

But excellent after that, absolutely destroyed Moya

Think Carlos' gas tank finally hit E. Murray woke up and got steady and that was pretty much it. Good showing from Moya this week though !!!

WOW, Muzza!!!

In the first set it looked like a very easy victory for Moya. Andy just wasn't at all there. But wow, this lad has some fighting spirit in him, and he managed to completely turn around the match at the start of the second set. Suddenly everything seemed to be working, great movement, fantastic shotmaking. Yep, this fellow has what it takes to become a biggie.

Gasquet should take a page out of his book. Or rather a complete chapter - 'Keep On Fighting'.

EDIT: kudos to 'Oldie' Moya for making such an excellent run at this tournament.

Superb start from Moya.

Murray isn't quite as good yet as Sky thinks but he's still playing far the best I've seen from him.

The last set was painful to watch, Moya was dragging himself around court, all fh to the net. Very understandable considering his two epic yesterday wins. Great tourny for Charly, showing the world the true legend he is.

Congrats to Murray, this guy apparently has some future ahead of him.

Congrats on your first Masters semi, Andy but I worry about his inconsistency. Moya had a good first set and a bit but Andy was horrible.

However, I can't see him winning aMasters titlle or going to the last few days of a Slam unless there is a serious improvement to his serve.

But I do love his mental attitude.

This is his 5th Master's semi-final.

Moya

On the other hand, very nice passing shots from Murray, nice to see.

Sorry, I just read on BBC Five Live Text that he hadn't gone past the quarters in four attempts til now. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised they've got things wrong again.
