If players must play qualifying round, how to decide who is Lucky Loser?

If players must play qualifying round, how to decide who is Lucky Loser?

In this Cincy case, No. 9 seed Stanislas Wawrinka withdrew due to right knee injury and was replaced by [LL] Arnaud Clement. Mario Ancic withdrew due to illness and was replaced by [LL] Paul Capdeville.

Maybe I can only know that Lucky Loser is who loses in Qualifying final round.

And That's all Cincy's Qualifying results:

Qualifying - Final Round
[10] A Stoppini (ITA) d [1] A Clement (FRA) 64 64
[2] C Guccione (AUS) d [11] J Woong-Sun (KOR) 64 63
[4] B Becker (GER) d G Bastl (SUI 76(1) 61
[5] K Anderson (RSA) d [14] T Widom (USA) 67(7) 62 76(3)
[7] J Bjorkman (SWE) d [8] R Ram (USA) 62 62
[9] M Yani (USA) d S Oudsema (USA) 67(3) 61 75
[12] V Estrella (DOM) d [6] P Capdeville (CHI) 75 60

Qualifying - First Round
[1] A Clement (FRA) d A Francis (USA) 62 64
[2] C Guccione (AUS) d F Dustov (UZB) 64 63
S Oudsema (USA) d [3] W Odesnik (USA) 64 36 62
[4] B Becker (GER) d T Chen (TPE) 63 64
[5] K Anderson (RSA) d P King (USA) 64 64 [6] P Capdeville (CHI) d [WC] R Harrison (USA) 64 62
[7] J Bjorkman (SWE) d [WC] C Buchanan (USA) 62 63 [8] R Ram (USA) d [alt] E Chvojka (CAN) 62 76(6) [9] M Yani (USA) d [WC] R Williams (USA) 61 62
[10] A Stoppini (ITA) d T Matsui (JPN) 64 75
[11] W-S Jun (KOR) d [WC} D Lukacs 76(4) 61
[12] V Estrella (DOM) d R Bopanna (IND) 64 64 [14] T Widom (USA) d A Sitak (RUS) 63 61
G Bastl (SUI) d [13] A Kuznetsov (USA) 63 46 63

Then it would of been R.Ram he was the 3rd highest ranked player who lost in the Final Round of Qualifying

yes...I made a mistake, its the seedings. I said rankings because in futures and challengers the seeds are done according to the current rankings I guess Masters seedings are done from previous rankings...3 weeks? IDK

I'm not sure what you are getting at here. There were only two LL spots, which went to Clement and Capdeville who are both higher ranked and higher seeded than Ram.

If he stayed in town and signed in (which he did, obviously). Seems that people often forget this part of the lucky loser rule, the players must sign in on the alternate sheet on Monday morning, and again on Tuesday morning until all of the first round matches have been played. A lot of players leave town on Sunday night or Monday morning and give up the LL spot. This is what happened in LA a few years ago when Dent and Fish withdrew late on Tuesday afternoon, the only guys left in town were two players who had actually lost in the second, not final, round of qualies and they got into the main draw.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.
