Cincy R1: Safin loses to Tursunov 7-6(5) 6-4, goes beserk at the end

He went very angry with the line judge because a foot fault and complained a lot with Murier. In the last point he was already walking to the net, Tursunov's serve was called out but Safin called it in to finish the match got big booed by the crowd.

poor safin just fell apart. should have gotten over the call and salvaged the game.

Man, I really wanted to slap some sense into Marat at the end.

This guy is the only guy that calls foot faults on Marat, that is why he was so pissed, and to do it 4-4 30-30 2nd serve is

Tim Henman--Gael Monfils--James Blake--Donald Young--Rafael Nadal--Jo-Wilfried Tsonga--John Isner--Janko Tipsarevic--Richard Gasquet.

IMO, it's not nice for him to just give the point to Dima. He should stand and let Dima ace the 2nd serve.

Safin was called for footfaults by three different linespeople, clearly he had a problem. Tursunov was so calm throughout, Marat was psychotic.

Haha. Par for the course for Safin. I think he was walking to his bag before Tursunov even served - he didn't care whether it would be in or out - he was DONE. The chair wasn't helping the situation. Cedric was the same ump that told Murray he should wait for a trainer until after he'd lost the set already.

Oh well, if Safin wants to play his victim card instead of sucking it up and getting on with it....
