Dancevic played superb on a lot of points, but was eventually beaten by a better player. An entertaining second set to say the least. lol

Toronto R2: Djokovic def. Dancevic 6-4, 6-4

Djokovic was mildly passive in the first set and really got aggressive when it was necessary. He faced a break point in his opening game but managed to fight it off. But after the first set, he dominated with strong first and second serves and he pretty much outplayed Dancevic in the rallies. There weren't too many long ones, however. Djokovic had a match point on Dancevic's serve but sqandered it, and would later squander his chance to serve for the match, being broken by Dancevic, making it 5-4.

Then he broke back.

EDIT: This was Round 2, not round 1

Too good from the Djoke.
He'll probably dominate the hardcourt season.

The best possible description of this match. As much as he need.

djokovic played the bigger points better, what always separates the top dogs from the rest of the tour.

Dancevic is a really good athlete. He really gave away that first set because Djokovic was not going for a whole lot.

The second set was much better for Djokovic.

Dancevic should be ranked higher than what he is.

Absolutely. When Dancevic was down a set and break in the second he really started to go for big shots and couldn't really make them. Still, he's playing very well and it's a shame he had to meet Djokovic in the second round. Last year he got to the quarters before running into Nadal.

Boo on Canada crowd for booing Novak.

Nice effort from Frankie but maybe if he ditched the girly soccer hair he might've won.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: Toronto R1: Djokovic def. Dancevic 6-4, 6-4

The mild passiveness from Djokovic is what really bugs me. He does just enough to get it done, unlike Federer and Nadal who are out for blood.

But hey, different strokes for different folks. A win's a win, right?
