Roger Cup-Toronto R1: Fernando Gonzalez def. Julien Benneteau 6-2, 6-1

Gonzalez forehand working well. Benneteau really had no idea what to do. After the first set, second set was a steamroll. Good win for Gonzalez.

Nobody would have thought Benneteau had 0-40 [3 BPS] in Fernando's serve at 2-2 in the 1st. After Fernando saved those, He never looked back!

Congrats Feña, great performance.

Next time don't even try to allow you a slow start .

Great performance from Gonzalez, looked really good today. Benneteau isn't a bad player but he didn't do anything right today and wasted so many break points. Could be Gonzalez vs. Gulbis in the second round, could be tasty...

Another example of a pusher this Benneteau

Santoro , Simon , Benneteau are disgusting french (mug) pushers

Ok, Benneteau and Simon are boring pushers but I think Santoro has unique style of play and is unfair throwing him to the same group of French pushers

Routine demolition job from Gonzo after dodging that early 0-40 hole
