Re: Patrick Mcenroe and Wimbledon seedings

I was just about to post on this. This is seriously a huge commentating mistake by both PMac and Carillo and can only be justified by promoting their guy. There is a transparent formula (whether you agree with it or not) for Wimbledon seedings (I will give it to you in the next post) so the commitee can't show him "love".

Re: Patrick Mcenroe and Wimbledon seedings

Basically you take existing ranking points add 100% of those earned on grass in the last 12 months (so they effectively double count) and add 75% of those earned on grass in the last 24 months.

It would also be fantastic if Mary Carillo would stop fangirling for Wimbledonlive.org

"Watch matches from last year, watch matches from next year" :retard:

It would be funny if she didn't say it 3 times a day

And this SCHWANK!!! shit she is doing is annoying too.

Just shut the hell up

Re: Patrick Mcenroe and Wimbledon seedings

Certainly the commentating team has said lots of silly, biased and or outrageous things in the past but I can't recall (even though I can only imagine there are many) something that is just patently false. Were they confused because the formula doesn't apply to the women's seedings? Or has the formula been a more recent thing (I recall when Edberg - my favorite player - in his final year, dropped to below 50 in the rankings, but a run to the finals at Queens got him seeded no.8 at Wimbledon in his last year, surely too high for any formula such as this)?

Should hardly be seeded.....

PMac isn't the only one who's said this. Yesterday both Brad Gilbert and Darren Cahill said the same thing.

During RG Mary Carillo kept harping on about how Nadal should've been the #1 seed, even though being 1 or 2 doesn't matter because 3 and 4 are placed randomly.

Carillo is THE worst. Once she starts saying/doing something annoying she doesn't quit. Sad thing is she likes commentating mens matches so you can't get away from her even if you ignore the women.

Roddick has the 4 seed now, with Davydenko out.
