This may seem an odd question but...

Is there anywhere where the in play scores for past tennis matches are recorded. I mean so that you could look up point by point for a match how the score went. So that for example you might be able to find out that one player was leadin 4 games to 1 and 30-0 up in the first set.

How can I use that to find out the point by point score for past matches?

I think only Grand Slam matches on the biggest or 2nd biggest court are available because PointTracker relies on the cameras being used for HawyEye.

Example:
http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/po...ker/index.html (not working, they took the PointTracker information down )
http://2007.usopen.org/en_US/pointtracker/index.html

Try for other Grand Slams accordingly.

You see the list of matches. Click on the match and a window will pop up which will show you all the scores of the match point-by-point and how the point was played.

It should work like that for the other Slams as well.

I don't know the exact link but usually Eurosport has play-by-play for important matches and BBC too if it's a big British match.

As far as I know, Roland Garros doesn't have HawkEye cameras

EDIT: Never mind, I see what you mean

It is.

I'm assuming the OP is talking about how he can get access to these scoreboards AFTER the match is over i.e. to go back in time to see how the match progressed.

Not possible.

The Davis Cup website has PDFs of scorecards from previous ties:
