Pretty sure Fernando has reached 4 slam quarterfinals.

There was already a similar thread comparing Gonzalez and Ljubicic and I guess you could throw Ferrer in the mix. Those three are the most accomplished of the listed players, but the Australian Open final just tips the scales in Gonzalez' favor.

A toss up between Gonzo and Massu I guess, depending on whether you think a slam final or a gold medal in singles is a bigger achievement.

Massu's Olympic gold was a great achievement, but I'd still be placing greater emphasis on Slam performances. With that in mind, this is how I'd rank them:

1. Gonzalez
2. Ljubicic
3. Ferrer - at the moment.
4. Massu
5. Robredo
6. Canas

That's how I see it. Massu is probably the least talented of this group but two Olympic Gold Medals is huge especially when your country had never previously even won a single gold medal.

At first because of Massu's gold medal I veered to selecting him. But as Gonzalez also shared the doubles gold medal plus he has the slam final, a lot of titles and a top 5 high ranking I think I would give Gonzo the edge. Oh yes, and Gonzo is ten times more talented than Massu too for what it's worth.

In order
Gonzalez
Massu
Canas
Robredo
Lubicic
Ferrer

Ferrer in current form has a good shot at moving up this list however. It is pretty close between 3 and 6.

Considering the gift for the game , or natural talent, I think that Truba has reached by far the most of these guys in the career.

Gonzales for now. In a year or two it would be Ferrer.

For me it's Ivan for sure, not just because I'm from Croatia!
All the other guys never had such consistency at highest lavel like Ivan had during his best years.
He basicaly won the DC alone, has olympic medal and the best highest ranking.
It's true that he is a choker at grand slams but still others didn't have much better achievements except Gonzalez who was AO finalist.
