Threats to the top 3

Which players do you think could be a threat to Federer, Djokovic and Nadal, looking at the draw, and potentially knock any of them out before the semis.
I think-

NADAL:
Gulbis - Tough 2R which may cause him some problems, although it is probably too soon for him on grass.
Youzhny - Probably got to face him 4R which is gonna be tough. He went 2 sets to love down against him last year before Youzhny got injured.
Murray or Gasquet - Either of these could face him in the QF and could be a threat if they hit good form.
Overall Youzhny is the biggest threat.

DJOKOVIC:
Easy draw til 4R.
Wawrinka is in great form so could be tough to beat in 4R.
In QF either Nalbandian or Baghdatis could be a threat if they hit decent form.

FEDERER:
Soderling - tough 2R
Monfils - tough 3R
Gonzalez - tough 4R
Berdych, Verdasco, Ancic or Ferrer in QF
Can't really see Fed losing before the semis.

Djokovic has no threat, maybe Karlovic if he gets to qf.

Stepanek could also be a threat against Nadal.

Djokovic will easily get through to the quarters, I agree that Nalbandian or Baghdatis on their day are both a threat.

Federer doesn't have a bad draw, although its not a complete cakewalk. Monfils in the 3R isn't nice, but thats actually a pretty nice draw to the semis. Hewitt is another potential 4R opponent, but Federer should dispatch of him.

You're probably right.
I just though maybe this year he might be able to find some form on grass as it has certainly his best year so far
Djoko seems to keep getting easy draws in slams recently.

Common Safin we never know... for sure he can be a threat to Djoker ... they meet only once.. in Ausopen 05 .. 6-0 6-2 6-1 .. ok long time ago, but still a danger opponent for the djoker

Sorry man but I think Safin is no threat whatsoever.
The real question is whether he can beat Fognini.
He struggled to beat James Ward at Queens, and his results in the 12months have been pretty dire.

Let's face it: They're all gonna make the semis as usual.

Re: Threats to the top 3

Federer:

with h2h records

1R:
- Hrbaty (0-2). Haven't played since 04 though and this is grass.

2R:
- Soderling (6-0). Shouldn't be too problematic.

3R:
- Monfils (4-0). Fed got him on clay so grass shouldn't be a problem.

4R:
- Hewitt (13-7). Fed has won last 11.
- Gonzales (11-1). Don't see any threat.

QF:
Berdych (6-1). Fed has won last 6.
Kohlschreiber (2-0). Beat him at Halle.
Ancic (5-1). His last loss on grass was to Ancic. That was in 1R, 2002.
Ferrer (8-0). Dropped 1 set.

SF:
Djokovic (6-2). Obvious threat.
Baghdatis (6-0) No problem.
Nalbandian (9-8) Possible threat.

Stepanek is not 100% but even if he was, he doesnt have the goods to deal with the Clay Monster.

Clay Monster has a slightly tricky encounter with Gulbis who has a big time serve but i dont see him taking down the 4 time French Open champion in a best of 5 sets match. give Gulbis a set at least before the Clay Monster settles down and destroys him.

Fed has a free ride to the semis. i dont see him losing a single set until the semis.

Wawrinka hasn't played a match on grass this year.

Berrer will surprise the Faker.

Berrer will rain down a barrage of pinpoint overheads to score the upset of the tournament.

Labadze - Berrer - Junqueira

Federer hasn't got an easy draw but he should be able to get to the SF's.. Who has to play Ivo Karlovic?

Re: Threats to the top 3

I'm glad the draw isn't a walkover for Fed, I want him to stay sharp and get ready for hard Semis and Finals, only one who could take it from Fed is Nadal and if it happened it's due to mental reasons not because Nadal would outplay Fed on grass.

UEs could be the decider of the final.
