Richard had a match point at 6-5* and couldn't take it. Shame for him because it got away pretty quickly after that.

Great comeback from him given that he's got a slight knee injury, but once the MP had gone and he'd lost the game, you sensed that would be it for him and he got broke in the next game.

I hope it was Peya hitting winners rather than Bloomers missing on the crucial points so he doesn't feel too dispondant and it wasn't a choke from him.

Hope he gets a LL spot

Both played Wimbledon last year and gave quality opponents good fights, Peya a little moreso. (How he was up 2 sets on Tipsy, I don't know.) This really could've gone either way. Still Bloomfield probably should've won on his home turf especially after having match point. Tough break.

Poor Bloomers missed a makable passing shot at MP and then completely fell apart. He just spent the last two games thinking about the wasted opportunity.

that he caved sounds really sad... probablt thinking of the press covering the match once he missed it...

Gutted for Bloomers...hopefully it won't take him too long to get over this.

Hard to really know what is worse...losing comprehensively in the final qualifying round, or fighting back so well and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I guess I'd probably go for the latter.
