My thoughts exactly We know the scoreline, but not the winner...

Karlo should clinch it with some Agassi fluke returns in each tiebreak

A more impressive match up would be Isner vs Karlovic, unless I somehow already missed that.

Isner isn't good on grass as well as Querrey. So why should it be a great match up?

Re: Ivo Karlovic vs Sam Querrey

some people think that being tall and having a good serve makes you necessarily a good grass player

Re: Ivo Karlovic vs Sam Querrey

Im going for sam juniour to put away the hairy one in 3 sets.

querry has a better all round game and can match karlo with the serves.

Re: Ivo Karlovic vs Sam Querrey

I would like to see Querrey take it, but had to pick Karlovic just based on performance last week. 35 aces and three tie breakers against Nadal. Not bad stuff. Querrey's going to seem slow after that match with Nadal. That should give the big one the edge.

Yes, but the reason for this thread is that they're actually scheduled to play tomorrow.

Tomorrow I think Ivo will atone for failing to win with match point on his serve in match last year against Querrey. Querrey depends more on baseline game so I think his game translates to grass a little less well than Ivo's. However Querrey does have a great serve so it may well come down to TBs in which case it's anyones guess who will win.

IVO KARLOVIC
Groth, Tursunov, Nadal, Russell, Butorac, Nic Monroe, Marcus Willis

Re: Ivo Karlovic vs Sam Querrey

Karlovic in 2. Querrey may have beaten him last year but Ivo is playing way better right now. Ivo's also a much better grass player to begin with.

My mistake. I thought it was a hypothetical match up of 2 somewhat tall players with good serves and not much else. I figured with Isner it would have been more of an ace fest. I didn't realize it was an actual match for tomorrow.
