Nadal win streak hits 30, the longest since... when?

I think Nadal had 19 straight going into the Hamburg final last year, that must be the previous longest. Nadal will surely beat that in the first few days of Wimby.

14.

Yes, he can get to 25 or even 26 at Wimbledon. It will definately be a good streak considering after that he may play Stuttgart.

Nadal will be defeated by some mug on Wimbledon, just like what almost happened last year (Söderling and Youzhny).

17 victories, but if it wasn't for his silly loss due to blisters in Rome, and he had just skipped that tournament as he should, they would be 27.

Nadal career prediction: 6 RG, 2 Wimbledon, 1 Australian Open, 1 US Open, 2 Master Cup, 20 Master Series, 65 titles.
(Predicted before RG 2008 when he had 3xRG)

He's already had 24 wins in a row back in 2005, and 26 wins in a row in 2006.

Yes, but that won't be enough. He also needs to win his next three matches after Wimby.

That's not hard, if he plays Stuttgart (and he will, if ranking matters to him).

Not if he reaches the Wimby final. Stuttgart is the week straight after this year because there's only a two week gap to the American TMS.

But anyway he should be able to win his first three matches even on hardcourts, unless he gets an unlucky draw.

What a complete asinine and idiotic thing to say. Who cares? How about the same people who bother to join a tennis forum and spend a significant amount of time following the sport...duh!

Streaks and sports go hand in hand. It's news in just about every sport. His current streak isn't anything significant enough to mean much outside of him having a chance to set a new record for himself, which is definitely a feat worthy of discussion. I also believe it might be the longest winning streak of this season; I'm not 100% sure on that though.

Anyway, congrats to Rafa. I really hope he can keep it up. Outside of defending his F points at Wimby the rest of the season is great opportunity to really challenge for the top this season. As a Rafa fan it's really exciting.
