That is ridiculous. It only costs $29 AUD for a ground pass to the Australian Open, and you can see 20 courts.

Good God, no wonder the stands had gaps yesterday.

£77 for Queens centre court. Bastards!

Re: How can Queens Charge £30 for this Order of Play??

Queens prices have always been a joke, they only want to fill the stands with Corporate/Well-to-do types that don't care about anything but when they can fit in their next meal or glass of Pimms. Most popular question being asked of staff yesterday seemed to be "Where is the nearest place to get a glass of Pimms?" I heard this about 5 times and I wasn't even listening that hard.

I've been to Queens as both a paying and non paying guest many times but have to admit that this year it has got particularly awful. The idea of paying for Court 1 at a IS event is just laughable- up until last year the £14 ground pass was actually good value (allowing everything but centre) but Centre has always been a rip off, unfortunately. They should pay me to put up with some of the people that come there, I've even started a competition to find the most stupid things people say at Queens with interesting results!( I shall add this to my report picture thread later)

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Agree - couldn't believe it when I saw this year they were charging for separate entrance to court 1.

On a wider perspective, would also like to know what percentage of Queens seats (and other major tournaments) are actually available to the GP at all. Am watching Rafa now and the stands are still half empty. Yes, I appreciate corporate funding is king now but it is particularly to galling to those of us who would kill to get in to see these matches to know there are 'guests' with tickets who would rather swill Pimms.

Re: How can Queens Charge £30 for this Order of Play??

I went on monday and was annoyed they were charging for Court 1 for the first time - the best thing to do is buy the returned tickets at 4pm, £3 for court 1 and £5 for centre, though that isn't much comfort if your favourite has already played!

Well quite - I saw this member of staff on mon who lead a bunch of suits to meet Gasquet after his practice in the morning, and I kid you not, one of them actually said to Gasquet 'are you french?' and then asked him if he had won at Queens before! galling indeed...

Be lucky to get a seat on that Court 1 as well, they let in many more spectators than they have the capacity to deal with.

Jim Thomas - Max Mirnyi - Jordan Kerr - Rohan Bopanna - Andy Roddick - Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi - Ilia Bozoljac - Chris Haggard - Jan-Michael Gambill - Donald Young - Nathan Healey - Lleyton Hewitt - Jamie Murray - Olivier Rochus - James Blake - Vince Spadea - Tim Henman - John Isner - Travis Parrott - Paul Goldstein - Tim Henman - Wes Moodie - Arnaud Clement - Michael Russell - Jeff Coetzee
