Sjengster's Greatest Hits

...

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Re: Sjengster's Greatest Hits

I had noticed... and I don't know why. Still, good enough to read nine times, isn't it?

Sod it, I'm deleting this thread. That's what the original songs thread is for, after all, and I'll have some new ones to add to it soon.

At present it's being held up by unexpected rights clearances. BTW Lurker, are you enjoying that spectacular aura of yours?

Re: Sjengster's Greatest Hits

I did laugh at the motto attached to hitchhiker's solitary red-dotted reputation that I saw yesterday, though: "hitchhiker can only improve". Now there's a recommendation from someone who's never spoken to him.

Re: Sjengster's Greatest Hits

Wave the mouse over those little green dots below your name, and you will see. I must admit nobody's ever called me a "jewel in the rough" before, but I'll take it even if it is a compliment dispensed via a message board.

Re: Sjengster's Greatest Hits

There's room for everyone, o glorious beacon of light and splendid one to behold (oo-er)... as a collaborative effort it should be entitled MTF's Greatest Hits, and getting a few tennis stars to record these ditties in studio will only add to their selling power. Provided the ATP doesn't sue, of course.
