RG R1: Ginepri def. Young 6-2, 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-2

Ginepri wins the battle of the Americans. He's playing very well this year. That Moya match halted his momentum a bit but he's definitely on the comeback trail.

Robby acquired a bicep injury during his match against Moya in the 2nd set, but he was leading before that... He subsequently had to pull out of Miami as a result of that.

Bless his heart, after leading Deigo Hartfield (ARG) last year at Roland Garros, he was the only American left in the men's singles draw on the 2nd day of his match... however, after 5 sets, he lost the match after having a two-sets-to-one lead (after being informed that he was the only American man left in the draw- no pressure).

Finally, he wins his first Roland Garros match!!
Congrats Robby!!

A blockbuster of epic proportions. If that happens, there should be worldwide public holiday and free to air coverage so everyone can witness the clash of the clay gods.
