Yes, I certainly didn't expect him to come out on fire today, after barely practising on clay.

Good luck Roger against Karlovic next round!

Karlovic

Hopefully, he is not as dangerous on clay as on grass.

I don't see why he would be.

Besides, was he even that dangerous on grass? Roger still dealt with him in three sets and even broke his serve. I can't imagine a more favorable outcome coming on red courts for Ivo.

Go Rogi....I certainly don't expect him to win here though

Well, he beat Hewitt last year and a couple of seeds this year.

Re: Federer beats Behrend 6-1,6-1

Ivo hasn't won yet btw he's up 4-1 in the 3rd set when play was suspended. he's a serve/volleyer who has no return game and his groundies are crap (100% flat all the time, that is when they go over the net) so Fed shouldn't really have too much of a problem beating IVo if he pulls out his 1st round match when play resumes tomorrow.

lol, exactly my thought

there's really nothing special about this win... I mean, maybe there would be something special about it if Roger, as a three time Grand Slam Champion and the uncontested world's #1, was not able to beat Tomas Behrend, a German claycourter WAY OUT OF FORM on any surface of the world, at any time and at any location of the world, but not if he rocks him 6-1 6-1 in 45 minutes what could have been easily 6-0 6-0 but Roger showed some mercy

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

I understand your pain. But personally I find this thread as thrilling as the one about Andy's beard.

Talk about destroying your opponent when you have hardly practiced on it. Way to go Roger!!!
