Pörtschach R2: Gimeno-Traver thrashes Sam "clay stud' Querrey 6-1 6-3

Sammy is just getting ready to peak in Paris.

Well done Dani.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Nevermind Querrey, Americans now have Ginepri as a Davis Cup selection.

Sam won't be going hungry tonight, a breadstick and a yummy mediter bagel.

That is not a mediter bagel, mediter's double bagel is when both set scores are the same, there can't be a mediter bagel in a match, where the set scores are different, so Querrey only has the breadstick to chew on.

Gimeno, on the verge of the top 100, withdrew from RG qualies to play this tournament. Good move? Seems to be paying off so far....

I haven't seen many of the Spanish players outside the top-100, but I've seen Gimeno and he is the opposite of a pusher, he has nice strokes and a very dominating forehand, plays a bit like Andreev. It was high time he made the top-100.

Good win for Dani, he preferred staying here than playing qualies for RG.

If there´s a top player in tour a bit reminiscent of Dani it is indeed Igor, well spotted. He has a heavy forehand, not as heavy as Igor´s of course, bh is his weaker shot, but he´s been hitting it well in this spring, it´s similar to Andreev´s one and he also has a decent serve which works better in clay
