Barcelona draw discussion

fairly interesting draw not the easiest possible for Nadal, but he should win nevertheless

Who's going to make the final from the bottom half?

btw, three Americans in the draw (Blake, Spadea, Ginepri), which is always surprising in a non-mandatory European clay court event...

Re: Barcelona draw discussion

I'm hoping Nadal might not give 200% next week.

Maybe Moya will beat him.

Muzza to win

Re: Barcelona draw discussion

Blake, Spadea, Ginepri, were promised discount whores.

Wawrinka to make the final just to be different.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

He might have to play Wawa. He doesn't do so great against him.

Strong field..

If Nadal should skip a tournament (which I don't agree), I'd say it's this.

Blake paying the Spanish Fed to make him look good this week after Queer Boy's run to 1/4 in Monte Carlo

Re: Barcelona draw discussion

Murray and Volandri always end up in close proximity in clay tourneys.

I was going to say Stanley just to be different as well. So I'll stick with Stanley, but not to be different now.

[10] Nico Almagro vs Viktor Troicki
Jurgen Melzer vs Filippo Volandri
Mario Ancic vs Mischa Zverev
Bye vs [7] Andy Murray

That's an interesting section. I could see any one of 5 players coming through it.

Re: Barcelona draw discussion

in a normal situation the King has to make the final, but i think he will tank to give Cañas the chance to repeat the last year final

Re: Barcelona draw discussion

More brilliant MTF logic. Bash the Americans for not playing on clay then bash them when they do.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."
