Monte Carlo R1: Andreas Seppi def Agustin Calleri 6-4 6-3

It was an awful match, that did improve in the 2nd set thankfully.

Calleri was woeful and Seppi was just a bit better, at least he got the W. Seppi woeful serving for the match at 5-2, just gave the game with errors.

The livestream fucked up at 4-2 and at 5-3 for about 5 minutes in the 2nd set, maybe they were pissed off about the overall standard of tennis.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Nice and easy win for Seppi.

I don't know what Gordo's rush was to get out of Houston, he was horrible today.

No surprise here either. Seppi is in beter form than Gordo at the moment, but to be honest he didn't showed it that much today.

Did not see the match but good to see Seppi won.
He is one of this players who deserves more credits.
Good chances to go further since he plays next against Querrey.

Monte Carlo over Houston a destination isn't hard to figure out.

Calleri was trying the touch shots at the end, that is never a good sign. Seppi had a shocking break point conversion rate, dumping shots halfway up the net, just shows how poor Calleri was.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

As a fan of both guys, the nicest thing I could say about this match was that it was woeful. As bad as it was, it was still better than the womens tour.

Calleri was making so many backhand errors, he was like Santa Claus on speed at Xmas time, he had no patience at all.

Seppi will never be a player that will be overhyped and that's a good thing, he can play on all surfaces, but he is what he is. This is a huge chance to make the 2nd round playing Querrey for sure.

Considering how bad the match was I'm glad that I wasn't able to watch it now. I prefer Calleri out of the 2 players but well done to Seppi, and hopefully he can take out Querrey in the next round.

Good win for Seppi and he has an excellent chance against Sam.
