And what's even more pathetic is that the match wasn't even over when you started the thread.

Anyway, Marin!!! What was that? Nice one.

Hm...
I am afraid that Marin will be Serbian Janko... Huge potential and just that. Potential.

I don't like Nadal.

Re: Miami R2: Mathieu def. Cilic 4-6 6-1 6-4

How exactly to people know he choked? Mathieu did DF to go down the break in the third in the first place. "choked" is more overused in this forum than "mug" - that's really saying something

Almost everyone who loses nowadays "chokes" according to GM - especially if someone lost money on the match Having said that, I was following the scoreboard, and it does look a bit like Marin got very nervous in the closing stages, but that's not entirely surprising for a young guy. I'm sure he'll gain in confidence with more expereince. Marin

Using the word choke about someone who was up a break in a decisive set is not inappropriate.

It is when it was an early break and no one saw the match. If you see the match and see he choked that's one thing, but to go from 3*-1 to 3-2* is quite often NOT a choke. Plus the scoreboard was DOWN for several games in the third I mean whatever, I just think it's hilarious that people can tell what happened in a match that no one saw
