Re: Moya v. Hewitt: The Rivalry Continues

I didn't know their rivalry was this close, although I expect Lleyton to win the match on grass. However, Moya has been getting stronger with each round.

Re: Moya v. Hewitt: The Rivalry Continues

We should have had this same match on the grass last year in the Davis Cup final, as the decider, but unfortunately Ferrero fucked it up majorly. But now we'll get it at Wimbledon instead and I'm excited.

I'm not sure how Moya played today but in his first couple of rounds he was very erratic and needed his serve to get him out of trouble at times. Meanwhile, Hewitt was very impressive today. His returns, passing shots, and lobs were very sharp and that will worry Moya, so I give the edge to the Aussie.

Djokovic // Del Potro // Paire // Thiem // M. Zverev // Youzhny
Coric // Khachanov // Donaldson // A. Zverev // Bublik
Ferrero // Rafter

Re: Moya v. Hewitt: The Rivalry Continues

the Potato will win. that's my vote.

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)

Re: Moya v. Hewitt: The Rivalry Continues

The edge is definately with Carlos because he will be looking to end the points easily, depending on if he gets his first serve in. If his 1st serve % is anywhere near 70%, then Hewitt wont touch it. Hes been playing pretty good, I mean 30+ on the winner/error ratio is good and hate to say it but the only thing Goran had was a serve. Most of the lobs Hewitt hit, could easily be retrieved. Carlos in 4 sets. 6-4 6-3 5-7 6-1, thats of course if Carlos brings his game because all lleyton does is wait for the opponent to make the mistakes.

Moya can play very well on grass as he showed in DC last year, I think that match gave him the confidence he needed to actually put the effort in at Wimbledon.

The edge is with Carlos?

I'd be amazed if Hewitt lost.

If Carlos plays poorly, if he plays like he did in Australia he has a very good chance.

I don't really think he needs to rely on bad play from Moya.

Um yeah he does, hes a counterpuncher who waits for the opponent to make errors.

Why not? Their games are very similar, Hewitt cant exactly blow Moya of the court, particularly as Moya is generally more aggressive.
