warning:
I had no idea that Tom Perrotta wrote for tennis magazine! I love all of his books, and none of them ever mentioned anything about tennis.

Good point. I was actually replying to Beautiful's post, but should have said "a lot of or some" Nadal fans.
Thanks junior!! Love the Granpa comment.

Roger should take rest of the yr off from the tour

he looked dreadful against blake today...

just skip Us Open and regroup for next yr. He'll probably lose to Scoville Jenkins or Don young if he plays this yr at the open.

i kept thinking he's mindset wasn't in the game while he was getting whooped by blake today.

he looks like he's lost his hunger for the game.

So also should Roddick, Ferrer, Davydenko, Gasquet and the rest. Only Nadal and Djokovic can keep playing all the tournaments till the end of the year.

Fedmug would rather lose on center court in Round 1.

That strategy has shown itself to be disastrous. J McEnroe took a break and he never won a slam again.

Yes Roger, do take that break. You need it

There an only be One Nadal

If he has a bad run in singles he should play more doubles matches.
At the Olympics so far he along Wawrinka have been really impressive.
Before the rain break they were leading Bhupathi/Paes with 4-1.

Re: Roger should take rest of the yr off from the tour

I wouldn't have Fed ever show that he sees the writing on the wall. Even though everyone knows he is struggling, he can't take off and confirm it.

He has to play through it, and try to find his confidence again, building it back brick by brick.

I totally vote "no" on a self-imposed hiatus.
