Yep. Also crazy that despite this *and* Nadal's exceptional start to the year, Fed's thousand point lead still remains in the rankings. Though, I guess the semi in Australia and strong showings at IW and Miami were undone by the 500 dropped points at Rome.

Though, Fed will not catch up so easily. It will be interesting if he does not make the final of Roland Garros and Nadal and Djokovic do. Then, even if he wins Wimbledon (and Nadal and Djok go deep) he will still be in only 2nd or 3rd place. In this case the summer hard court swing would decide #1. Not a good prospect for Nadal, but scary for Federer considering Djok's prowess on the surface...

...If Nadal or Djokovic win Wimbledon, Fed can kiss #1 goodbye by a loooooooong way...

If I lose the first set, the match will be complicate, no?

My favorite Federer and Nadal quotes following their 2008 Wimbledon final:

“But right now, it’s not much of a how do you say? a feel-good thing.”
-Roger Federer
"In the last game, I didn't see nothing. The true, I wasn't see nothing, no?"
-Rafael Nadal

Re: ATP Champions Race to Shanghai 2008

Nadal needs to keep winning to keep his No.2 ranking and Federer needs to win at Rolland Gaross!

Re: ATP Champions Race to Shanghai 2008

IT interesting to see this seaons's second half, the grass and hardcourt season as its likely to bring about a new no1 for how manys 4?
should be interesting to see how federer is going to respond, and whether novak has the consistency and metal strength to back up his results of the past 18 months

When Meeting Someone Greet them by Saying SALAM

Yeh we'll see, maybe when other players grow some balls and play properley on the surface they were brought up on, we will see the true rankings.

Nice to see Novak and Rafael so closer.

Rafael Nadal is the king.

1 Australian open, 4 Roland garros, 1 Wimbledon... what's next?

36 TITLES

Ce gars est juste phénoméNadal...

Re: ATP Champions Race to Shanghai 2008

When the TMC rolls around and the top eight entrants are confirmed, how do they divide them into the two round robin groups barring the obvious #1 and #2 being in opposite ones?

Nole and Rafa - already qualified for Shanghai 2008

Nole is at 521 in the Race and Rafa at 510.

They are already qualified for Shanghai because there is no way 7 other players could surpass 521 points in the Race.

I think is the first time two players are already qualified before Roland Garros.
