Re: Gilles Simon Is Out Of Masters Cup Race

Poor Simon I can't believe in this outcome but I have to admit I like it Truc was right... Anyway Simon would play as a substitute, verly likely.

Bummer, although I'd love for Tsonga to make it.

Here mate. Blake doesn't get points from a WO, so if he loses tomorrow, he'll get QF points, not SF points (in the race). If Federer played a point and retired, Blake would already be qualified or much closer to it, I think.

Then Tsonga making the final, beating Davydenko, let's say, and he and Blake would make it.

I didn't check this scenario, but someone can do it for me.

Apparently the race breakdown on ATPtennis.com is wrong then. Figures, what would they know.

Re: Gilles Simon Is Out Of Masters Cup Race

How sad for Gilles that his year is ended because of a withdrawal by another player. Not the way I would like that to happen, obviously.

Re: Gilles Simon Is Out Of Masters Cup Race

Well, maybe he should try harder the rest of the year, next year.

It's not anyone's fault he has to grasp at straws and rely on Fed to get into TMC.

Amazing logic. But by your reasoning, any player that makes it is "relying on" the people that defeated their competitors. It changes nothing that it happened for Gilles in the last event.
