Tsonga wins, and therefor it's over for Simon.

Re: ATP Champions Race to Shanghai 2008

Tsonga gets the win leaving three of the four semifinalists here chasing a Shangahi spot, exciting stuff. Simon mustn't believe this, a remarkable set of results slams the plane door shut for him.

Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray, Davydenko, Roddick are all in.

JMDP is in unless Blake is beaten in the final by Nalbandian.

Blake himself is in if he wins vs Tsonga.

Tsonga is in if he wins the event or if he reaches the final and loses to Davydenko.

Nalbandian is in if he wins the event.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Since Nalbandian is not going we can assume Del Potro is in.

I thought Nalbandian said he would prefer to stay in Argentina to prepare for Davis Cup final instead of going to TMC in Shanghai but someone who knows more can confirm this

Re: ATP Champions Race to Shanghai 2008

Gah, poor Simon! He should have many years left in the game, but you have to wonder whether this was the closest he would get to qualifying for the TMC, given how physical his game is, and the huge depth in tennis these days

As for the words on the French crowd...I haven't been able to witness how "bad" they have been this week, but I guess anyone "upset" by it should hope that Blake beats Tsonga tomorrow (although, for some, supporting Blake is a bad enough crime), as then justice would be done (no Frenchie in TMC).

It seems both argies are in doubt, so maybe Simon still has a chance.

Re: Gilles Simon Is Out Of Masters Cup Race

Del Potro qualifies in 7 of 8 situations(87.25%) (nalbandian must beat blake in final for him to not qualify)
Blake qualifies in 4 of 8 situations (50%) ( if Blake makes the final he's qualified)
Tsonga qualifies in 3 of 8 situationsm(37.25%)
Nalbandian qualifies in 2 of 8 situations (25%) (both are him winning)

Re: Gilles Simon Is Out Of Masters Cup Race

I wish Federer wasn't such a c*** and actually played at least a point. This way Tsonga and Blake would have a chance to qualify. Both.

Good work! Nalby may not go even if he qualifies. (At least there is a rumor of such thing occurring)
