I'm annoyed by this result!! Last time I checked, it was 6-1, 4-2 Johansson! He should have wrapped it up!

Thomas choked. Shittypan got lucky. Thomas will win another title. Poor guy he would have done more since Oz 02 had it not been for his knee surgeries. What is Shittypan's excuse?

PARADORN ~~ Fantastic Result; well done to fight hard when the result looked over for you..
@@ For anyone who doubts Srichaphan's resolve & guts {hiden by calm outer persona} then don't be surprised if he does some damage at remaining Slams & TMS events in 04!

Nottingham IS Title is just the beginning^ plenty of big wins to look forward to*!!

Thanks for making me a happy guy today BALL mate!

Re: P. Srichaphan def. T. Johansson 1-6, 7-6, 6-3

i think johansson should have taken the match when he had the chance, but paradorn deserved to have won!

Nieminen- The lucky lefty of tennis.
Sampras- The hairy champion of tennis.
Ferrero- The mosquito of tennis.
Srichaphan- The Thai- ger of tennis.
Safin - The of tennis.
Bagdatis- The quotesman of tennis "my coach will watch, i will sleep with my girlfriend"
Kiefer- The naive guy, "yeh, me and seb are good friends"
Santoro- The double handed wizard of tennis.
Lopez- IS my hair right? IS my lipstick right?
Moya- The tatoo and muscles of tennis (although nadal kicks his ass in that department).
Tipsarevic- The tatoo of tennis, competing with moya.
Djokovic- Stole Jiri's surname

Sorry if I left out your favourite, just PM me to let me know-- thanks.

Re: P. Srichaphan def. T. Johansson 1-6, 7-6, 6-3

The only problem for Paradorn now. Can he do this when he meets top players who are on top of their game, such as Roddick or Federer?? He seems to be outplayed by higher ranked players. I expect to see him against Rogi at Wimbledon, if only they could get there, I mean the fourth round. (I'm quite sure Rogi could.)

For Thomas, I think he was too tight while serving for the title. He hasn't won the title since winning the Australian open , so I know it was tough for him to close out the match. Well done, anyway. just fully recovered from injury. You can be on top again.

Re: P. Srichaphan def. T. Johansson 1-6, 7-6, 6-3

I hate it when this happens, Hantuchova did the same thing at Eastbourne today. Srichaphan was rubbish for a set and a half, he was getting beaten at his own power game and started going for some ridiculous shots, including a number of hopeless dropshots into the net. Then he hauls himself back into the match, finally decides to make Johansson play the ball a little more, and is rewarded with a tight game from the Swede when he served for the title. You could tell Johansson was doomed from his body language in the final set, his whiny demeanour is something I've never really liked about him and it proved his undoing.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Congratulation for your five title and first title of this year.

Paradorn did not play his best tennis, he did not serve well ( made 7 DF ) and made many UEs. He was finding his form and fought back when he was down 1-6,1-4, and he broke back at 2-5. He never give up and started playing well and won the tie break. Well done ball. You deserved to win.
