Gasquet will end the transition in the US open

Remember Mcenroe in 1985? Vulnerable already after a stellar 1984 season, he was threatened by Lendl, who was revolutionising the use of the forehand and fitness regimes. The 1985 USO final gave an opportunity to both of them to gain the top prize. Lendl ,it was , who came up with the goods to gain a decisive victory from which there was no going back.

Mcenroe didn't win a GS or reach a GS final after that.

The same fate is about to befell the transitional champ in
september. Gasquet will be the one who will end it and carry on the GLORIOUS legacy of GOAT sampras. Hopefully he will rid himself of the curse of choking that has struck players of this undeniably weak era.

My forecasts this year has been remarkably accurate and there is no reason it should not continue until september.

Amen to that, mate. I predict that he will have 5200-5500 points to finish the year as no.1 in the world.

richie21 will enter this thread to say that it will happen at Wimbledon, not the US Open.

Good comedy.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

True, but not entertaining as much as Nole's mother.

Too bad we can't comment on that. I can't think of a valid reason as to why it would be deleted.
