Why's everyone "ExFed played badly against Djoko"?

C'mon, people, look at the stats. For the most part, they were pretty much equal - on all the serve percentages, on UE's - but Nole hit more WINNERS, which tells three things: 1) he studied ExFed returning profile thoroughly and made the most of it by good service mixing, 2) he controlled the court more efficiently and mixed his shots well enough to halt Fed's winner-making opportunities, 3) he kept his composure and went for throat whenever there was an opportunity.

Now, aren't those points enough to conclude that it wasn't ExFed who let this one slip through his hands but that Nole was the creator of his own destiny?

Fed didn't play bad but he didn't exactly play great either.

Well, he might have had a bad day, but IMO it appears Nole did just everything right not to LET him enter JesusFed mode. And when there's no JesusFed mode, Roger Federer is far from invincible, no matter how good his record is.

Therefore kudos to Nole for knowing and applying exactly what the doctor ordered, and also thanks to Roger for politely swallowing the pill prepared

It can go both ways though. Fed could have a day where he's playing great and Djoko is average with some people saying, "man, Fed played great!" and others saying, "Well, Djoko kind of sucked though". It just comes down to whose current form is better and it was obviously Djoko's this time.

Roger is changing his last name to Vavrinec?

How enlightened of him.

I remember your Paris form. Energy conserving tank to major (dental) surgery.

I like you better in this mood anyway
