Yesterday I went to the Ordina Open in Rosmalen and I met Guillermo Coría there. All of you probably know how much I disliked or even hated him and I always called him Maggot (rather than El Mago). Well, I promise to never call him that again. He was really, really nice and that totally changed my opinion on him. Meeting a player in person can really change my opinion on someone (I never liked Dementieva, but since I met her, I am a fan of hers - I always liked watching Kafelnikov, but when I met him I started disliking him) and I guess that is what happened here too. I have always appreciated his game. It's not the style I like, but he is a great player. I never denied that. I just never liked his personality, nor did I believe that he was entirely "clean". It's safe to say that I still doubt the latter, but I do like his personality now. He also hit a few balls with his wife after he practised with Tommy
BTW, Guillermo looked good on grass.. He played well and if it hadn't been for his tough draw (vs. Beck), I think he could've won some rounds.
