Hawk-blind-eye

Those of you who downloaded the Tsonga-Youzhny match that was recently posted in tennis matches torrents thread:

Check the point at 1:41:50, Misha serves at 0-2 4-5 40-all. Tsonga returns and the ball was called out. He challenges.

Now, perspective can create funny illusions, I know that, but there is absolutely no way that Hawkeye got that call even REMOTELY close. I'd say it was wrong by some 5 inches if not more. If you play it slow motion you can see the ball almost touched the line, while the hawkeye replay indicates that the ball was like 4-5 ball-lengths away from it. No.bloody.way. 3 milimeters my @$$.

Everyone knows haw-eye isnt perfect, but it helps.
Also they dont use it at the french open, so unless the other GS modify their surface so the ball mark is clear and doesnt fade, then haw-eye is there to say for a long while.

They need you on court calling the lines. Get off your ass and catch a plane down there for the final.

Re: Hawk-blind-eye

Since Hawkeye was introduced they have completely banned close-up shots of the ball landing in the court. Clearly a cover up to hide the fact that hawkeye isn't 100% accurate. I mean hawkeye may be accurate 9 times out of 10, but the 10th time when the computer can't determine an accurate spot with any certainty, what do they do: they just pick a spot and pretend it is accurate!
