Let's try Australia at the beginning of the Open Era

1968 French -- Rosewall, Laver, and Emerson
1968 Wimbledon -- Laver and Roche
1968 US Open -- Rosewall and Newcombe
1969 Australian -- Laver, Roche, and Newcombe
1969 French -- Laver, Rosewall, Newcombe, and Roche
1969 Wimbledon -- Laver, Newcombe, and Roche
1969 US Open -- Laver, Roche, Newcombe, Emerson, and Rosewall
1970 Australian -- Roche and Newcombe

Can anyone top 8?

1986 US Open -- Joakim Nyström and Stefan Edberg
1987 Australian Open -- Anders Jarryd and Edberg
1987 French Open -- Mats Wilander and Nystrom
1987 Wimbledon -- Jarryd, Wilander and Edberg
1987 US Open -- Wilander and Edberg
1988 Australian Open -- Wilander, Edberg and Jarryd
1988 French Open -- Wilander and Jonas Svensson
1988 Wimbledon -- Wilander and Edberg

Pretty certain US can top that, still good numbers,,,

Re: Two players from Spain have reached the QF at each one of the last 5 Slams - Reco

From 1978 through 1985, there were at least 2 U.S. players in the QF's of slams until the last slam of 1985, the Australian Open. Most of those slams had 3 or 4 and sometimes 5 U.S. players in the QF's. That would make 31 QF's in a row. If you discount the 1977 AO because of it's smaller draw, the streak is even longer. The long streak was the work of JMac and Connors of course, but Gerulaitis, Denton, Solomon, Tanner, and Ashe provide help as well.
