Is there a rule...

...about which player gets to call "heads" or "tails" at the beginning of a match?

I am 99% sure there is no rule and once they are at the net with the umpire it is decided informally

For some reason the umpire always seems to let the lower ranked player, or the non-favourite, to choose...

It seems like it's always the lower ranked player IMO

I've seen Nadal call it at times. Don't know if this was against Federer though ...
