One reason I like Fed......

Re: One reason I like Fed......

and machine translated into English -

Federer: "Ríos and González are completely different"
The Swiss, without subtracting him merits to The Queen's" "Bombardier, praised to the left-handed one, to who considers "one of the best players that have seen in my life", he said at Third o'clock.

It dates edition: 20-01-2008

That Roger tells it Federer it seems enough, no matter how much the liking - and not only that of the tennis - it agrees also: Marcelo Ríos was and it will be remembered as one of the best of all the times. But it is the voice of the biggest and it is necessary to listen to it. "Ríos was one of my favorite players, as well as Pete Sampras", the Swiss recognizes.

This year one decade it is completed since "Chinese" arrived to the final one in Australia and also that it reached the number one of the world, anniversary that will take place March 29, when heill remember the trophy that "Chinese" rose in Key Biscayne that took it to the summit.

For the national family of the tennis they will be able to other big events that fight with what got the left-handed one to exist.
In the retina Nicolás' heroic battle remains Massú to reach the medal of gold in Athens 2004 and twice as much title gotten by Chile in the Glass of the World for teams.

However, to arrive to the end of the classification is for many the most important landmark to which a tennis player can aspire.
"Marcelo had an incredible talent and it is a pain that has retired so young. He had a problem of health and before that one cannot make anything", Federer analyzes.

In one of the corridors of the Melbourne Park, Federer doesn't want to cut a dialogue with The Third that he finds amusing, stiller when it is to speak of one of the few players for those that would pay an entrance, as he/she has said.

I "had the honor of facing it twice, once in Sydney and another in Madrid. In both I won him, although I don't care" that, the Swiss one who remembers throws that in several tournaments he/she had the pleasure of training with the left-handed one: "Once we practice in Indian Wells. He/she was entitled an impressive."

Lastly, Federer answers in a categorical way before the consultation if Ríos' careers and González have some similarity: "For anything, they are completely different. Ríos was a fantastic" player, it assures.

In the anniversary of one of the most important achievements in the Chilean sport, other players also spoke of "Chinese."
"The South Americans remember it with a lot of respect. Marcelo was an incredible player, with a lot of talent", David Nalbandian says.

Similar opinion is that of Juan Carlos Ferrero who adds that he/she is "still remembered by its great quality."

@ the 'translation'....

The ineptitude of those translation machines shows how far away we are from making anything that resembles AI... humans are still undisputed champions of intelligence on this planet

Odd that the translation given here was so bad, two days ago I transalted Rafa's blog into English via google transaltor, and found it very clear and much better than what we're seeing here, nearly no mistakes, not that I could tell.

Re: One reason I like Fed......

My Spanish comprehension is passable, so I took a stab at the first post before I noticed the English translation. The Spanish text was far more readable!

Hopefully Rios and Federer could play an exhibition--that'd be fun to see.

Re: One reason I like Fed......

I like Federer because he makes me feel special to be born in an era where he is writing tennis history. A Federer sometimes never occurs in some people's lives so we must appreciate the fact that he plays in our lifetime and we must all become fanboys/girls in order to be part of the history he is making.

JenRios - I don't know if I'm reading it right because of the translation, but I had to laugh at Fed's comments.

"For anything, they are completely different. Ríos was a fantastic" player."

So Fernando obviously is not fantastic in Fed's mind.

Poor Fernando.
