Argentine soap opera...

I heard from a friend of mine through the internet that Gaudio was on TV and he started to fake cramps during the tv show.

Also I was told that he said: "I didnt care if Coria died in the middle of the tennis court the only thing that mattered to me was to win the tournament."

Could anybody confirm that?

*Sighs* Gaudio never said that, at Coria's forum we already discussed that, and apparently it was just a mistake in the translation of Gastón words from Spanish to English.

Gaston didn't say he wanted Guille to die. He said that he didn't care whether Guille died in the match or whatever happened to him, because he just wanted to win.

Estefania - this supposedly happened a couple of days ago during a tv show in Argentina and not during the press conference. This is new. Thanks anyway.

the name of the show is CQC
the hostess of this show made the cramps, not Gaudio
He said if Coria died in the fifth set he didnt care
but it wasnt a bad comment
it was only a joke because all the show is a joke

Re: Argentine soap opera...

It probably was one of those shows where you could say things in a light manner and not taken seriously. Let's hope so!!!

"i'm not here to do a cinema" - jhh talking to the press about her match
against kournikova (which she won easily), us open 2000

Re: Argentine soap opera...

rubbish. it was the hostess who made fun of Coria. Gaudio was joking along but she was the one poking fun at Coria. frankly he flipping deserves the bashing his gamesmanship is now attracting in Argentina. i'm sure he'll think twice about pulling this stunt in the future.

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)

Re: Argentine soap opera...

I'm a Coria fan, and I'm not offended even if Gaudio did say that (and apparently it seems he did not). It's not like it would have been meant literally. People use that as a figure of speech... well, I do anyways

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.
