Verdasco just made this a three-horse race but Young is really something else.

Re: 2012 MTF Mug of the Month: Tomic and Young lead for July

Verdasco is a candidate every month, and won Mug of the Year last year as a wildcard, having never won a single month. Could he win it again?

D. Young, though, may be too strong, despite Nando's best efforts.

Re: 2012 MTF Mug of the Month: 3 Stooges July with Tomic, Young, and Verdasco

at the title.

I think in terms of July mugginess:

1. Donald Young
[gap]
2. Verdasco
3. Tomug

The Penultimate Enemy to all Injustice

Federer was the pioneer of first-strike all-court tennis. This is the real tennis and the beautiful game. Never forget the beauty of what was tennis. Nadull and Fakervic don't win tennis matches. They simply outlast their opponent with endless grinding and stamina. That is ugly. Beautiful tennis is gone now. Never forget the good days of real tennis.

Re: 2012 MTF Mug of the Month: 3 Stooges July with Tomic, Young, and Verdasco

lets not forget that after his loss at wimbledon, tomic admitted that he's become lazy with practicing and that the loss was a real eye-opener for him

why do i get the feeling he spent the next three weeks getting drunk instead of practicing

i also recall earlier this year him saying that he had the talent to beat one of the top 4 players in the world or that he could be top 10 by year-end

i think he is definitely the leader
but one more horrible loss for young and it might be too much

while verdasco is bad, he is way above these two mugs

Gulbis Ferrer Nishikori
Isner Nadal Dimitrov Istomin Wawrinka B. Baker

Berdych Monaco Granollers Leo-Mayer Troicki Roger-Vasselin Lu Paire

PAW Titles: Brisbane 2012 & 2014
FITD Titles: Marseille 2014
Tennis Tipping Titles
Singles: Orleans CH '11, Tampere CH '12, Medellin CH '12, Vancouver CH '15, Opava FUT '15
Doubles: Noumea CH '13 w/ Chirag, Cherbourg CH '14, Yokohama CH '15 w/ BMT360

Donald Young has taken July.

Long overdue, really.

Give the Mug of the month to another player, cause surely Young is the Mug of the Year.

Re: 2012 MTF Mug of the Month: Donald Young wins July

Berdych, Tomic, and Verdasco all had stellar mug months, but they were not even close to DY here.

Goes to show the quality of the Young game these days. Spadea better watch out.
