Querrey: 2-3, including a straight sets loss to Alex Kuznetsov in a challenger.
Verdasco: 1-2, just another muggy month for him.
Roddick: 1-2 this month, but probably the most embarrassing. Injured, though.
Bogomolov: 1-5, if I were making the odds, Bogo would be the betting favorite.
Dimitrov: 0-2, including horrible loss to D. Young in Memphis.
Simon: 2-3, being destroyed in South America.
Perhaps the Swiss DC have redeemed themselves, with Roger winning Rotterdam and Wawrinka making SF in Buenos Aires.
Yes, I am biased and I like to see different winners for the awards. Dimitrov already won it July 2011, Verdasco won it for the whole year of 2011, however, there is precedent, since Federer won this award twice in the first 7 months of 2008
Roddick and Bogomolov both play Delray Beach next week and the crown will likely be presented there. Actually, the site of the tournament is about 25 mins. from my house, and I may even award the award personally.
Simon plays Acapulco and can raise his stock for this award. As does Verdasco. Fish plays Dubai and Bellucci play Acapulco, but barring a monumental mug performance, they won't beat out the top contenders.
Dimitrov meanwhile, is smartly not playing a tournament next week.
