Agassi out (again): 4-6 7-6 7-6 vs. Andreev

It´s getting harder and harder for Agassi, he´s lost his third match in a streak.

Igor Andreev is a great player and this match today was only his second match ever on grass, he first stepped on grass on Sunday! How weird is that?

Well, you hear it here first: Andreev will be in the top ten very soon!!!

And by the way: Andreev is really cute

Andre ! He'll be very disappointed, he was so close (deuce on Andreev's serve at 5-4)!

Congrats to Igor!

I'm disappointed Andre is out- but it's nice to get a new Russian male player coming through. I agree- great things to come from Andreev.

bad luck for Andre, losing a 3rd set tiebreaker

I know Andreev is quite good, but I doubt he "will be in the top ten very soon".

let's say top 25... that enough to call it "soon"

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Hate to say it, but this not only is very disappointing, but is definitely making it very tough for Agassi to continue competing...

Agassi was pathetic, slow, Andreev's game is not well suited for grass at all, Agassi could have lost to Nicolas Massu today.

I miss: Ivan Lendl, Korda, Novak, Bruguera, Rios, Kucera, Courier, Mantilla, Costa, Santoro and Ferreira.

Good luck to:

Gaudio, Murray, Florian Mayer, Chela, Nalbandian, Radek Stepanek, Volandri, Youzhny and Verdasco.

Re: Agassi out (again): 4-6 7-6 7-6 vs. Andreev

I am sorry to say that it's virtually over for Andre. His game is too one-dimensional. He tries to overpower his opponents from the baseline but the young guys are way too quick nowadays and stronger than he is. Hence, they tend to be able to overpower him instead. Unlike Roddick, he does not have an overpowering serve. So, the cheap points he should normally get in tiebreaks, he did not. Agassi never faced a break point, had good stats and still lost. Well, welcome to grass court tennis!!!

This is so depressing .....

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

he still can't get his 800th win....

Q. As the older player, you don't feel like it's your role to go up to the younger players and talk to them first?

I wonder what happened to him... he was still doing so well at the beginning of the year, then all of a sudden, he is losing most of his matches.

And for once, the ATP's "One to watch" is right...

Re: Agassi out (again): 4-6 7-6 7-6 vs. Andreev

I really think this is a combo of bad luck and lack of match play. I mean at least he has been able to stretch these games out to a tiebreak. That is the fundamental of tennis, to be able to hold your serve for a deciding tiebreak. I think Agassi just isn't handiling the pressure points as well. And this comes with match play. Unfortunately since Agassi can't make it pass the 1st round its been very tough to get match tough. Hopefully he can win his 1st round match in Wimbledon, that kind of win will boost Andre's confidence, which should get him through the 2nd and 3rd rounds at Wimbledon pretty easily...

Re: Agassi out (again): 4-6 7-6 7-6 vs. Andreev

Wow, I guess the cool thing now is for all the non-sucky players to suck

With each passing season, I discover new reason
SAMPRAS --> Rios --> KUERTEN --> Kafelnikov -->
Federer --> Hewitt --> RODDICK --> GONZALEZ -->
NALBANDIAN --> Benneteau --> Davydenko --> Mathieu -->
TURSUNOV --> Mantilla --> KIEFER --> NADAL -->
Karlovic --> Odesnik --> Stepanek --> Monfils -->
??

Oliver Cromwell lay buried and dead. Hee-haw. Buried and dead.

I think Andre will pick it up for Wimbly. Let's hope he has an easy draw.
