Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

I'll admit he is kind of a turn-on when he is pain, looking adorable when he smashes the raquets, and he looks so cute when he was so angry and stuff......But how come people are still saying he is overrated and stuff like that. It seems that so many people dont like him, and dont feel any sympathy for him when he is limping on the court and things, lol....So sad, yet so enjoyable

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

Uh, I don't know about most of your post, but to answer the question:

Some people are just extremely sad, hate filled individuals. Anybody who watched the fourth set and still said Coria was faking, is a disgusting, hateful person. I'm sorry, there is just no other way around it. So blinded by hatred that they can't see what is right infront of them - that is why some people like to see Coria (or Roddick, or whoever else) in pain. They are truly disgusting individuals, and not tennis fans at all.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

I literally wanted to be sick to my stomache reading some of the absolutely hate that was being spewed out on this board today. I really did. It is seriously upsetting that humanity has such disgusting lows. It's no wonder that the world completely blows these days when there are people like this, full of so much hate, running around...

Dramatic much? Sure. But true.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

i don't enjoy it, those enjoy it are heartless people,i don't think he was faking, poor him, i never am his fans, but feeling so painful for him, i almost want to cry for him, he fought to the end in pains, people should applause him, wishing him to win it next year, he is a true fighter and a true clay court king, just that he always has bad lucks, got injureid in important matches

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

They are tennis fans Rebecca, because they take the game too personally and like to live vicariously through the players

With each passing season, I discover new reason
SAMPRAS --> Rios --> KUERTEN --> Kafelnikov -->
Federer --> Hewitt --> RODDICK --> GONZALEZ -->
NALBANDIAN --> Benneteau --> Davydenko --> Mathieu -->
TURSUNOV --> Mantilla --> KIEFER --> NADAL -->
Karlovic --> Odesnik --> Stepanek --> Monfils -->
??

I'm with you there, sister.....I think Mac should go to hell for accusing him of faking.
He is clearly limping all over the court, what the hell oh well

That makes them player fans. And it doesn't change a thing that I said up there. They are hateful, pathetic individuals who need to grow up and get some perspective. It's very sad that you can't watch a dramatic match these days without somebody spewing venom over it. It's very sad indeed.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

It is... that is why I had to stop posting at WTAW. It was just filthy, and it messes with your head and you get sucked into the MB drama. I try not to pay attention. I hope MTF doesnt get too ugly itself.

But I think people who are insensitive towards tennis players actually are capable of sympathy, they just want to irritate people

With each passing season, I discover new reason

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

That makes them even more pathetic and disgusting in my eyes

Frankly, reading the board today really sucked any pleasure out of posting for me. What I'll do in the future, I really haven't decided yet. Frankly, I procrastinate so much that I'll find myself back here frequently, I'm sure. But if I could find a better way to waste time, I'd be long gone. Spending time with people like this... bothers me. I'm much better than that

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

You know, considering the tv comentators were speculating about Coria, someone here bringing up the possibility of gamesman ship shouldn't make them hateful human beings . And as for living vicariously through tennis players, I think the extreme reaction shown by the 'hater's and the 'lover's is about the same. So many threads about Coria. How bout some congrats for this Gaudio, kid? Coria will be back to win another day.

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

It's been an emotionnal day for everyone, people were posting with their emotions instead of with their brain. There's been strong reactions in the past after controversial matches, it can turn ugly quickly.

As far as I'm concerned, no one is perfect and it happens to post things on the heat of the moment that I'm sure most posters regret later.

Re: Why do people enjoy seeing Coria in pain?

On a side note, from Yahoo:

Unseeded Guillermo Coria provided an apt ending to two wild weeks at Roland Garros by winning his first Grand Slam title, coming from way down to upset a cramping Guillermo Coria 0-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, 8-6 Sunday in a back-and-forth thriller.

---------------------------------------

I guess it kinda makes sense that the unseeded healthy Coria would beat the seeded cramping Coria...

I've said many nice things about Gaudio, kid. On a site where the posters are actually intelligent enough not to pump out 40 threads on bullshit, kid. A place where my comments can be appreciated, kid.

Thanks, kiddo.

Chocking makes me sad.

Congrats for Gaston? But Coria made him cry, he is just too gay
I mean, I want Gaston to win 'coz I want to see Coria cry
But I dont want to give congrats to some hot tennis players just because he's sexy.
