PLS! To all those Coria bashers... ask yourselves...if you...

If you were in a grand slam final and suddenly experienced cramps, are you gonna retire or just try to finish a game you started?

LET US NOT forget it is a dream come true to play in the finals, i seriously dun think anyone had anytime to think of tricks or acting skills or whatever. NOBODY is that good to think so much on and off court....

For me, unless I hurt till I cant even move at all, I WILL NOT RETIRE TOO AND FIGHT TILL THE END. It's a grand slam final and not some normal tournament!!

I'm not gonna work so hard all my life, so that I can retire due to cramps in the final.

Don't be deceived by the rankings!! Coria, Roddick, Mirnyi, Schuettler, Fish, Safin, Henman, Tursunov, Ljubicic, Bovina, Li Na, Ivanovic, Chan YJ, Dementieva, Vinci, Sugiyama, Coetzer, Tanasugarn, Vaidisova, Zheng, Dokic and Kournikova are the world's best tennis players in the world!!!

Maybe you're right, Buddy. I jumped on Coria as soon as he started cramping. But i have no regrets. If you look at his past, he has done things like that before and that's something i really dislike.

I know and it's unfortunate his fitness level is not that good yet... anyway, actually i know how you feel...

i kinda dislike another person who cramps a lot too... more than coria...heehee...

but i was just arguing for this match's point of view....it's not easy to know you're having cramps in a crucial match... it's a bit like fainting halfway through your final exams and you're telling yourself "NO!!! Not now..I can't faint at this time..." and you try to fight off the dizziness...

Coria is a complicated guy~ this loss will change his life forever; maybe some good will come from it because I'm sure the fans will give him much more support from now on!!
Life is full of hard luck stories; in terms of sport Coria's loss is probably the most bitter pill to swallow BUT he'll emerge a better man & when he wins that elusive Slam it'll be all the more satisfying (a la Ivanisavic 01 bigW^ lets hope Coria doesn't have to wait that long>_<)..!

I feel quite emotional about Coria's loss even though I'm thrilled for Gaudio...

I know...like i mentioned in an earlier thread...this is one match i had problems choosing the winner...

I really wanted Coria to win, yet Gaudio made such a comeback that I really did not want him to lose for his efforts too... Tough luck that someone had to lose...

Sorry Coria has a past with faking and exaggerating injury and he has done it to Gaudio before and people don't forget things like this.

The facts are that he cramped and that is not Gaudio's fault and this is a bigger indication that Coria needs to physically stronger as well, and no I don't feel too bad for him, he will win a Slam one day. It's part of the game and I have strong feelings about players getting treated for cramp.

Of course a player is not going to retire in a Slam final, unless they can't walk at all.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

So true, One has to be in his position before they say anything about him. It is very hard to take on those doping charges, when you are not guilty. But even after that, he has come out so strongly, which is appreciative.
