Coria's fight was WOW!!
At the start, I had wanted Gaudio to win—I was pulling for the under dog. But I really had a change of heart once Coria started cramping. Here is this kid who can hardly move, which is why he is such a great player, because of his movement! And he is watching balls fly by and not even attempting to reach them. But he didn’t even give up, and took the match to a 5th set.
I mean, he could hardly bend his knees for his service games! And he still took it to 6-all. I mean, wow, Coria is awesome. I just think he was such a fighter today. Coria knew he had to fight harder and dig deeper, and unfortunately he lost. But it’s okay because he’ll be back. But he never gave up and he really is a model of spirit to me. I am not gonna proclaim him as my new favorite player or anything, but wow—all I have to say is wow!
